ABOUT KASAMA CAFÉ
Born from a passion to share the wonders of Filipino food culture, Tina first opened the doors of Kasama Café in January 2024 – but the journey started well before.
From humble beginnings on the farm in Siargao,Philippines. Tina has strived to build her skills and secure a prosperous future for herself and family. Over the past 10-15 years, she has worked tirelessly, often combing multiple jobs in hospitality & culinary arts, with studies to build her skills and gain formal qualifications.
A foodie with a heart, with an in insatiable itch to see the world, Tina has taken every opportunity to travel across Europe and Asia and immerse herself in the wonders, delicacies, and traditions across all walks of life. From back-alley soup stands and traditional markets in provincial Vietnam to fine dining in Paris, experiencing authentic food culture has been a long-term passion.
Now, as a proud Darwin girl, her life-long goal of running her own successful restaurant is coming to fruition. Tina is passionate, about sharing her experiences and showcasing the traditional foods and flavours of her motherland to all in the Northern Territory.
